Taken on top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park - Maine at sunrise. The green and blue is colorful lichen on the rocks. This is a digital blend of two different exposures using Photoshop: one exposure for the sky and the other one for the land portion. Your thoughts are always appreciated.

What a great color palette nature has provided you. The mottled pink and purple in the sky mirror the rocks stippled with lichen. It pulls the scene together perfectly.

I will not repeat the above, with which I agree, however I am a bit bothered by the tilted and curved horizon line.

I am attaching a modified example...

Very well done, I also like the pink cast (reflection) on the rock from that beautiful sky. What a beautiful place. Have a good evening. 7/7a

Amazing colors and superb lights. Great post processing. The tilted horizon is not bothering me i thought it was a cloud in fact and clouds are not necessarily leveled. Great photo Tony. regards - michel

It has been a very busy day for me including taking some shots of a lady at my church celebrating her 100th birthday with live classical music performed mostly on cello by her daughter (Faure, Mozart, etc). Such a relaxed, contented old lady who had such a sweet smile and appeared at peace with the world.I shot some candids at 2000 ISO on the D300 and will see how they turned out.

I really appreciate all of the comments and generous rates (including the 'tax') on this image. As always I will make the rounds to your images to see what is new.

Dave, thanks for reworking the image re curved line - just curious as to what tool you used (Capture nx? Photoshop/Transform/Perspective or Distort?). I am looking for the most time efficient method.

Tony,I used Corel PSPP X2's Fisheye Correction tool for the curved horizon and the Straighten Tool to level it. Took about 1 minute.

I find PSPP X2 simpler to use than PS, probably because I have been using it for years.
