Looks a bit dull with the grey background and there is no clear pattern on the tree branches.

I can only presume you wanted to make a low-key photo by making this so dark. However, even a low-key photo should have some lighter tones in it. Another way of saying this is that all of Ansel Adams Zones should be present. What you have here looks dark, ponderous and apparently includes sharpening artifacts.
