I think you have a good subject and a nice coposition here. Aesthetically it seems like the picture it's a bit tilted to the right, and I would have kept the top of the tree on the picture.

I think the technical part is the one that needs to be worked on. To start, unless you wanted the glare there I don't think it heps the image; shooting facing the sun isn't always easy and that seems not only to overpower the rest of the image but degrades the overall lighting and contrast leaving you with a washed out picture.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way and that some others chime in and correct me if I'm wrong.
