bynx 0 Posted October 25, 2008 Not sure where this pic fits in. Its a marriage of 2D and 3D, but still a single shot. I photographed a San Francisco streetscene painting and opened it in Photoshop to fill the screen of my laptop. Then, suspending a toy streetcar with fishing line, I positioned it so it optically and perspective wise fit in the scene. After shining a light bulb to illuminate the interior of the streetcar and pointing a small flashlight at the front I shot the final pic. I was pleased the way the cars on the left actually reflected off the side of the streetcar adding realism. Using Mystic Light plugin I added the headlight and beam, along with the green lights on the roof. Finally I touched up the DOCKS BAY signage and cloned out the visible fishing lines for the final look. The whole thing took about 5 hours to complete. Link to comment
rbanfield 0 Posted October 25, 2008 Ok John, Very very creative! 6/7 anon. Love your use of California St. in San Francisco. Only thing I would have done different was put a few drops of water on the car... RAY Link to comment
bynx 0 Posted October 25, 2008 Thanks for pointing out the missing water on the streetcar Raymond. I couldnt figure out what was missing. That little detail would have made the car fit in even better. Oh, well another time, another shot. This is the first time using my lcd screen and a 3d object. The possibilities are endless. I will be posting another one tonite if all goes well. Im thinking something Star Wars or Frankenstein. And thanks for your response MS Keil. Link to comment
