AJHingel 127 Posted January 3, 2009 A very good scene and photo, Well seen and well composed. I would personally have decreased the color saturation so that the rose becomes less red and the green less green. You have certainly a good eye. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 2, 2009 I especially appreciate the play of textures. The soft rose colors made more soft by the breeze, the strong spiked green fronds encroaching from the corner. Anders suggestion is an interesting one, worth considering if not for this than for some future images. There is a subdued tone set here, both in the soft wispiness and the low lighting, so a muted color palette might be very effective. You've put together a nice composition and the relationship of reds to greens is evident throughout, both in the more overt sense and in the subtle play in the growth beneath. Link to comment
katherinemichael 0 Posted August 3, 2009 Thank you for your comments about my photo. :) I appreciate the feedback. I do agree that this would also be interesting in more muted color tones. I think it might draw more attention to the massive quantity of dew that is covering the grass. Maybe I will give that a try tomorrow and post a new version just to see a comparison. Funny, I had almost forgotten about this shot. Thanks again! Katherine Link to comment
