If Susan had done it, I think it would not have carried such an ominous title. I also don't think she would have used the contrail. On the other hand I'm glad to be compared to my friend. I attended an opening of her photo show in Lewiston (sp?), Montana, last August. Afterward, her family and my wife and I had dinner, and we parted. She was moving to Wyoming and going back to school in art. I haven't heard from her since, and I miss her terribly. She's a wonderful person. Maybe I'll see if she's listed in the phone book and give her a call. On another side note about Susan, I saw three of her images in the 2008 special issue of B & W magazine. That is quite an honor as they were picked from amongst very stiff competition.

Thanks for your appreciation of this image. To me it has considerable beauty, but is ominous. Others might not feel the same.

Surprise, I haven't disappeared into the Wyoming wilderness yet! Thank you David for the pat on the back and you've been missed too. One of my fondest memories from my Gallery show opening reception was when I looked up and saw you standing there, you and Peggy surprised the socks off me! I'm enrolled in the Photographic Communications program here at Northwest College and staying VERY busy, I miss All my PN friends but doubt I'll be doing any posting, I just don't have the time to respond to everyones comments and postings. I've been doing some new HDR work that I really like......I'll return someday. I love the lone tree and vivid colors, the conrail adds an interesting element of mystery, is it life fizzling out or spirits rising....the dawning of a new day or the closing of another chapter in the earth's history? I sent you an email, I hope you get this one as it's not the first I sent since I moved.
