dave_nitsche 0 Posted October 21, 2008 The hammer is glued to the broken prop martini top. The liquid is actually resin. The glass dust was dropped on the set and I clicked. Link to comment
tbonemah 0 Posted October 22, 2008 Extremely cool idea and love how pin-sharp the focus is. I think that the "dropped glass" effect is awesome. Photographically it's outstanding. As a physicist, I wonder if the glass isn't "shattering" just a bit too soon. Mind you, what percentage of your audience would be physicists - and what would you care what they think? lol! davidmccracken 2 Posted October 22, 2008 You click rather well! I can't help but wonder if the flying glass would look better completely frozen. It would go along with your stye of very sharp images! Link to comment
dave_nitsche 0 Posted October 22, 2008 Thanks guys. I like to see what physicists think. It's pretty cool. Here's one for you. The hammer is actually hitting the 'liquid'. How much force would the hammer have to generate to break the glass by just hitting the liquid. LOL!!! Dave. I was thinking the same thing. I might try it again with it all stopped. Thanks man. Hope you're well. Link to comment

mg 0 Posted November 28, 2008 I like this conccept very much, Dave - especially given the odd shape of this glass... What I see nevertheless is that there are some blurry fragments of glass here and there around, which makes me wonder what's the flash duration of the flash you used for this ? Link to comment
