Huge crowds gather to watch the famous town hall astronomical clock

strike the hour - it must be the most photographed clock in the world!

This is my attempt to present an original take - does it work?

I think it did work, the facial expressions are great and the disappearing figure on the left is mesmerizing, I did not realize this is a composite before this figure stroke me (although I have been there and should have known there is no space for people). ...this is a fun place to be on a sunny day - there is a carnival atmosphere on the hour, every hour. I was really taken with the father and son gazing upwards in awe with their mouths open, I just had to find a way to combine them with the object of their interest.
