thadley 15 Posted October 16, 2008 I am on the road mostly these days. I spent a fair amount of time photographing this leaf shifting positions to find an interesting background. I spotted the yellow leaf 'path' and thought it looked like a beam of light shining on the leaf. Constructive comments are always welcome but I may not be able to reciprocate this month. thanks. vancouverphotographer 1 Posted October 16, 2008 Nice ... I agree that background works well with the leaf here. Link to comment
hus 0 Posted October 16, 2008 Great dof makes the background plain which helps bring out the details of the leaf. I like the colors. Link to comment

richygale 0 Posted October 18, 2008 super image Tony well captured the changing autumm colour of the leaf make this. I too ended up getting the 055XProb its a great tripod like you the carbon fiber one was just to much. I also went for the midi ball head which I'm pretty happy with now I'm used to it, it has some distinct advantages from my old tilt and pan. Rich. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted October 19, 2008 Hey Big Guy, how are you? Gorgeous photograph; and superb use of DOF. Wouldn't change a thing; and this image is one of the nicest portraits of Fall 2008 I've seen yet. I love your revamped port. and your retooled biography. I have been VERY busy of late working to get Barack Obama elected president. I think that fits well into your stated desire to see more of an emphasis on love and peace in the world. I am cautiously optimistic that we are moving away from the politics of fear and loathing in this country in this cycle. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted October 19, 2008 Michael, Dale, Ahmet, Ruud, Dilip, Sonali, Hussein, PNF - thanks for your kind comments.Richard I got a three lever head but had a ball head prior to that - I am still getting used to this new head on the tripod but so far I like it. There was a British magazine that had rated the manfrotto tripod as 'best value - Gold". I like the extra height on this tripod but it is heavier than the one I replaced.Chris - thanks for nice words and happy that you are working for a change and being courageous at the same time - the finance market has left me a bit poorer but I continue to be enriched by constructive comments and my passion for photography. Hoping to be very active taking photos for the rest of this month along with a planned trip to Acadia national park later on. Link to comment
