According to a local, these copper mines used to be natural caves

leading deep into the mountain. It was in these caves that hundreds of

early day Christians hid to escape persecution, when they were

discovered a mass execution was held, hence the name 'Massacre'.

Thanks for looking, I dont want to make you feel morbid, just sharing

the story I was told about the site (I found this out after I had taken the

"Every picture tells a story". It was a great idea to give us the history surrounding the image because now the viewer looks atthe picture from a whole different angle. Well done.
