mukeshmulchandani 0 Posted September 30, 2008 Does this work? Suggestion to improve are most welcome. Link to comment
pisq 0 Posted September 30, 2008 I like the red, and the brown tones, I think it's a bit oversharpened, to my eyes, but mostly, I think the verticals are off, titled to the left, Link to comment
mukeshmulchandani 0 Posted September 30, 2008 Thanks for your critique Carey. As for the verticals, the door itself was tilted to the left and I still don't know how to fix that using software. Link to comment
pisq 0 Posted September 30, 2008 I understand the difficulty, I sometimes try to straighten by tilting the camera, but that gives more space left or right, in software there is the rotate command, usually followed by cropping, more complex alternatives also exist, Link to comment
bvp 9 Posted October 1, 2008 Since the bottom of the door is straight you might try (in PS) Transform->Skew and grab the top right corner and move it to the right. I like the concept here and the saturated reds. Link to comment
mukeshmulchandani 0 Posted October 2, 2008 Thanks for the suggestion Bruce. I have been taking photographs for some time but have not invested any money or time in post processing. I think I need to get a copy of Photoshop now. Link to comment
SteveH 0 Posted October 2, 2008 This is very nice. I like the colors, and even the tilt. I wonder if it work better if there were a little less door and more of the structure it's in? Also, maybe a little mystery, if the door could be opened a little, inviting one in? I think I'm looking for a bit more than just an objective presentation of "door" but more like something about the doors - where do they go? what do they mean? Is that sufficiently confused? Cheers, Steve Link to comment
mukeshmulchandani 0 Posted October 3, 2008 Thanks for valuable suggestions about presentation of doors Steve. I like the idea of keeping the door a bit opened as if inviting in. But this door is in one of the towers at the town cemetry and I would not dare to open it even if I had the key Link to comment
mareval 2 Posted December 10, 2008 First of all give you many thanks to your nice words to my work. I am glad all what you say. After this, like your image and intense color tone only I should turn it to right a bit. Nice definition and light. With best wishes. Link to comment
