A great photo of a great place.. i'm not an expert on Yosmite but this is an angle i havn't seen before, congrats, it works and looks great!

Your picture is classic and very well carried out. You were there on a lucky day. Wintertime gives better contrast and character than a blurry summer. And the hour of the sunset gives the good light on El Capitan.

This is a nice take on an iconic subject. I like the way the light on the wall takes the viewers attention away from the icon of Half Dome. I would imagine that it becomes increasingly difficult to provide fresh angles on Yosemite but this photo does that well done.
