maria_di_liegro 0 Posted September 26, 2008 Yes, this architecture shows the beauty of Vienna. It's an unusual composition in that it looks like there is a lean because of the pool, but the building is on the level horizontally. What I would like to see for your composition is that you cut back on the saturation, because the verdigris and the flowers are oversaturated. For such an elegant structure and grounds, to do the most honor to your subject, the photo should be more real as far as color is concerned. I think that's the most important thing there. Lucky you to be in Vienna. Regards, Maria Link to comment
gabi_raoul 0 Posted September 26, 2008 Every man to his own taste...but I prefer my version. It's my style photography...to colour my world:). Lean... tilt-shift and wide angle corrected lenses are expensive in my beautiful Romania:)) and the complex distortion of an consumer zoom makes it relatively difficult to correct in software. maria_di_liegro 0 Posted September 26, 2008 You made the critique request, so you asked for it. You know, when people take the time to look at my photo and make a critique, I always acknowledge them for taking the time to honor my request, even if I don't agree with them. (A suggestion for future reference.) If you're looking to be praised only for your photos, you're on the wrong site. You could go to flickr for that. I understand completely about expensive lenses and budgets! Maria Link to comment
gabi_raoul 0 Posted September 26, 2008 CPL filters are part of photographic life too. In my next trip to Vienna I will reshot the whole scene whith a Velvia or Kodachrome 25 slide to reflect more accurate colors:) You have to respect a personal style (my style is based on my vision on subjects) not just send people on other sites. Anyhow, thanks Maria for your constructive comments and critiques! Link to comment
