robwilson 0 Posted September 25, 2008 This is a beautiful image. Yet again you have hit the jackpot Simon! I feel like a bit of a sycophant as all I ever post is praise! But, it is always a priviledge to look at your pictures. Interestingly, this image all proves that there are some clowns out there... 3 people have rated this image (at this moment) - 2 have given it 7/6 and the other... You've guessed it 3/3. Why do some people feel the need to be destructive just for the sake of it? There is no way anyone could justify that sort of rating. This is a top draw image. Brilliant work, sorry about the rant! All the best, Rob Link to comment
michaelfranz 0 Posted September 25, 2008 simon, great early/late shot. wonderful contrast with the blue sky and yellow field. the clouds add a wonderful touch with their transition from the blues to the yellows. I would love to know the location. Link to comment

veezais_gr 0 Posted September 25, 2008 Simon, the zigzag pattern of hay bales looks great, not to mention the beautiful soft light over the rolling hills! Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted September 25, 2008 Sigh... another for the favorites! Simon, this is fabulous; I can't imagine how you talked the farmer into arranging the bales so that they just lead into and beyond for such great depth. The late afternoon sun, the wonderful clouds, the detail, the rim lighting on the secondary hill.... it's all perfect. I'm sure the upper right cloud is gray and similar to the far distant cloud, but does give a slightly muddy appearance to that corner.... still a 7/7 though! Mike Link to comment
blue-olympus 0 Posted September 25, 2008 Firstly I must say that the sky is outrageously brilliant, one of the best I've seen!!! The golden yellows of these fields are mavellously illustrated by you, making the whole effect a wonderous vista for the viewer. Brilliant work Simon!!! Regards Link to comment
ChristopherSchlaf 0 Posted September 25, 2008 I agree with Rob Wilson (Above post) Im new here and just dont understand why people can give somthing like this a 3/3 I would imagine its the same few people. Can the moderators figure out who these people are ?.OK Im done with my complaining now. This is simply a BEAUTFUL image.10/10 Chris Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted September 25, 2008 This really reminds me of Montana, Wyoming, or Idaho. I have actually sat up on top of rolls like this with a couple of buddies and had a couple of cold beers for 15-20 minutes at the end of the day. Just about doesn't get any better than that. Thanks for the memories, Simon! Cheers! Chris Link to comment

davidmccracken 2 Posted September 26, 2008 I see scenes like this many times in Scotland. I have always wanted to try to capture a scene like this but I never do. Seeing this makes me understand why. I don't think I could get such a good result. Having said that, maybe this is the inspiration to try. Thanks for that. Link to comment
ndj 0 Posted September 26, 2008 Beautiful image Simon. A complete lesson, in one photo, on how to shoot fields in evening light. Thanks for that,Neil Link to comment
