A result of a converstation about the traditional term of Black and White photography being black and white and all tones of grey in between.

Great! Among your finest. I like how each of these little feathered souls retain their own personality and individuality and yet desperately need each other. Is it possible to have an amazingly human picture without a human depicted at all?

It is so musical! looks like music notes.....( even a "Sol Key" between the lines)..... I love the small differences of form in the birds., some are looking to the sky, some are talking between themselves.. as Jeff said, very human, really personification... beautiful composition, timing and execution, Kirk.

Jeanne, nice to see your visit; thanks for the comment. The crossed wires do kind of play tricks on the eyes.

Jeff, thanks for the compliment, you are to kind and generous. I really like your analogy.

Pnina, thanks for confirming that analogy Jeff made. I didn't really think of it totally like that; I saw those little wires that arc from one line to another as connecting the whole bunch. This is one reason I like putting things up here to find out what others see.

Thanks again all,

Kirk

Hi Kirk!! This is great !! Love the composition! Eye catching ! The lines and

birds have my eyes going up and down studying all those little characters. The silhouette gives a great mood and effect. Nicely done!!!

Wow! I love this one.Two more or less random patterns, the birds and the power lines combining in what ends up looking like a purposeful fashion. There are some contemporary composer who use what are referred to as graphic scores, whereby they have the musicians interpret a photograph by some predetermined set of parameters. I would love to hear someone play this photograph. The looks like it would sound marvelous and of course it does look wonderful as well.

Wonderful shot. How did you get them all to pose for you? The contrasts and variations in size make this work. Well done. - Charles
