kartik 0 Posted October 1, 2008 This is a portrait of a craftsman, who was part of a group of artisans making plaster-of-Paris statues of the Hindu god Ganesha, on the streets of Ahmedabad. I was photographing the statues and their makers on the streets, when an unexpected rainshower forced me to take shelter in a tea shop. I was deluged with requests from people to take their photograph. This man's proud demeanour and his flaming red hair were both very interesting to me.All ratings, comments and critiques are welcome. kartik 0 Posted October 3, 2008 Thanks, Mujahid. Did you have a chance to compare the BW and color versions of this image? I was wondering which one you prefer. Link to comment
