iancoxleigh 0 Posted September 22, 2008 Lovely colours James. Plus, the composition is strong and the clouds are well captured. I find the highlight just a tad too overpowering and would burn in the brightest patches just a tad. But, that is a personal preference and this is still very lovely as it stands. Link to comment
anhaga 0 Posted September 22, 2008 Cheers everyone! Ian - the light here was unbelievably strong, and since I'm not a fan of double exposures, I'm stuck with the best RAW shot I could get. Try as I might, unless I resort to literally painting in a fraction of colour there, the main highlight is a little beyond redemption. I'd like to think it brings some realism though - I'd been stood in rain for 9 days, so when this light started bursting through it was like waking up from sleep to find you're looking directly into the sun. I agree though, ultimately a little colour there would be technically better. I'll take a 5 stop grad with me next time ;-) Thanks, James Link to comment
jtangen 0 Posted September 24, 2008 For a single exposure shot this is wonderful. Great composition with interest in both FG and BG. Nice that the whites of the water do not have a cyan cast. I know you said you were not a fan of Dub Exp but perhaps it could have benefited in this case with the strong highlight. Love it none the less. Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted January 12, 2009 The coral-ly peachy colour in the clouds and reflections is so special. Beautiful scene! Link to comment
