Terrific composition and tones. Love the look of the sky due to the long exposure. Must have been a calm day since the grass in the forground is sharp.

Clayton beat me to that comment. That really must have been an exceptionally calm morning.

Beautiful image here Mike. I particularly like the blue/grey of the sky. Sorry to ask a technical question, but did you have to use any compensating filters here for the long exposure?

Thanks for your comments. It was evening Jeff and Clayton, and yes it was very calm indeed. There is some movement evident in some of the grass stems which can be seen in a large version but it doesn't seem to to detract too much.

 

Ben, no I didn't use any compensating filters, this was the lens and a UV protection filter, nothing else.

Mike, it is amzing, and very beautiful with very little ellements, the vegetation ( in a closing direction) is like toucuing the sky( with an open one).very nice !
