The depth of field is really narrow. Since you have a lot of light I would have close down the aperture and get more of the image in focus. If your intend is to focus only on the texture of the tree branch then I would have open the aperture more and get the back ground to blur more.

And nice too, but it would have been better to be sharp all the way!

I love the tension that these curves/angles add to this compostion. A little more DOF might help, but I am still drawn to the composition!
