thank you for your kind words. It is not posed. I was passing the bridge, when I noted this remarkable pair of legs on the other side of the river. A most unusual thing, I got time to shoot three or four times from different points (any good photo typically disappears as soon as you managed to put on the proper lens). Exposure... I don't know. The upper leaves are indeed a tad "high key", and the sharpening after resizing for the web tends to render the contrast a bit more harsh... Ciao L.

I completely agree with Giuseppe and since you told us this was not set-up I have to say you're one lucky guy. On the other hand, you still have to "see" it and luckily you did. This is the stuff that makes classics and it has something of that fifties era. Stunning image. As for the rest I wouldn't say this was a bit or a tad overexposed, I think it's more your b&w conversion that's under par because as far as I can see it's all there. Did you shoot this in RAW? You really need to put some work into this one. It's more than worth it.

Ton, you know Paris, so I suppose you noticed the unnerving amount of beautiful girls all over the place, in summer (of course) especially. This helps of course.

Again Ton and also Giuseppe: since I was not very satisfied either (and ok, also since you both insisted ;-) ) I re-worked the image (look at it larger), starting from a different curve (less contrasty) and BW conversion (less green reduction), and using some more layers here and there.

Right now, I like it definitively better, what do you think? For reference, the previous version is attached.

Thank you both for the precious suggestions! L.

you're right. I know Paris fairly well. Time I go there again.

I still think it's way too hard to be quite honest. It's just that this is a outstanding photo and I would like it to see as perfect as is possible.

Well, if I did not want you to be honest, I would not have asked! I appreciate it, giving real opinions is a lot more time consuming than just saying "well done". Yes, it is hard. It is deliberate, because I was not finding another practical way to avoid the foliage to become muddy, confused. I also think I have a taste for somewhat contrasty B/W: I sometimes have the impression that no italian street photographer can totally avoid the imprinting of Berengo Gardin... actually I'm still on the mild side compared to some of my peers!

Ok, I will come back on this one in a while, when I will be able to look at it with fresh eyes, so to say. Thank you!
