cherlyn 1 Posted September 1, 2008 So you managed to visit Tay Nihn after all. Nice overview of the interior. Link to comment
Matthew Brennan 3 Posted September 2, 2008 Excellent capture of such regimented / formal arrangement. The slight left down tilt does not bother me as the columnades on the right of frame are aligned well. There is a lot of well resolved detail just in this internet upload image. Good sense of depth into the centre of the frame. By the way, LHI is a truly magnificent place, World Heritage Site - most southerly tropical coral reef on the planet and suberb natural wonderland. A delight to visit in every way, well worth the travel to reach it. Cheers, Matthew. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted September 2, 2008 Thanks Matthew, SHould have visited Lord Howe Island when I flew to Norfolk Island previously. From the air it sure look mysterious compared to NI. Cherlyn, I was lucky to go there by private car exactly in time for the 12pm event, otherwise I had to wait until 6pm for the next prayer. Has some lovely images which I intend to add to my book on Vietnam. Link to comment
mrraz 0 Posted September 3, 2008 It's good to see this striking temple has survived. I shot the temple in '67 during the war, but wasn't allowed inside during any of the ceremonies. This is a beautifully composed image, and the color is truly startling. Excellent work. Link to comment
sallycd 0 Posted September 4, 2008 I thought cameras are not allowed in places like this, unless it was covertly done. Thanks for sharing Alec. :-) Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted September 5, 2008 Well Sally, you are partly right. There are areas which are out of bounce to visitors but we are allowed to take photos if we move around the perimeter. Link to comment
