how big was this cuttle fish? it looks tiny....

 

It was a night dive, I have captured with the 60 mm macro lens, it was about 5.7 cm I think.

I just reviewed your other photo of this little guy (at least I think it was the same one) and decided to take a quick look at your portfolio. I have to say- I like this image even better than the other one! The eye and tentacles are really superb. This is really a gorgeous, almost abstract image. You have a very nice portfolio. Wish I could take photos like these! I'm happy I found your images, they are really a pleasure to look at. Thanks!

Excellent photo, Luca. Wish we could know what he's saying! You've got a great portfolio, you're obviously a bit of a macro manic! Do you focus manually or AF?

By the way, is this definitely a cuttlefish and not a squid? Hope I'm not being an idiot ; )

Finally you suggested me the correct name in english! Sorry I'm italian and I have missed the correct name. I'm macro maniac because it is more ease to perform a good underwaterphoto compared to wide angle. I shoot AF but with the 100 mm macro I adjust the focus with MF. Thank you for your comment!
