Nikon D80 - Am hoping the Black spots is just some dust over sensor and not a bad pixel on the CCD

Recently got my DSLR so I am quiet new to everything (besides

clicking the button :)), please post your comments.

The photo is of first franchise (ninth McDonalds) restaurant of

McDonalds at Des plaines IL.

Yes I need to get rid of the pesky black spot, I hope its just some dust

over the sensor and not a bad CCD pixel.

Before I critique; that spot looks like it's just dust, too big to be a pixel; so you'll be okay, I think.

And now to the image...It's not a bad image, but there's nothing that really stands out about it. The composition isn't bad. The exposure isn't bad. The colors aren't bad. But for a photo to really stand out, all the aspects have to really be 'good' and not just 'not bad'. You know? Keep workin' at it and really try and find some really interesting subject matter and then think to yourself, 'How has this been shot before?' And then when you figure out how it's been shot, do it a completely different way! And most importantly, have fun with it.
