tm_j 30 Posted August 22, 2008 Thanks Peter! I am very please with the bird but the background & foreground is a bit clutter :-) - I've learnt from an expert at shooting HB to tone down the flash which actually make the shot sharper. I could not adjust my old flash (over 25 years old), hence, I put a white plastic bag over the flash head and that seems to help :-). Link to comment
knobby6 1 Posted August 22, 2008 Looks pretty good but I think it could use a little more light, not much, but lower half of bird is in shadow and flash should soften it. Hard to get consistent results with plastic bag. Save up for a good flash, as it will really give you more control. Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted August 22, 2008 Thanks Monte! Actually I had a second flash that bounced off an umbrella and it failed to fire. You got me there on saving for a new flash though since my 25+ years old flash cause about the other half of my ... failed shot (aside from the focusing problem with the E-410). I am saving for both a better camera and strobe set :-). Thanks and have a great evening! Link to comment

kathyb 51 Posted August 24, 2008 I think the flowers frame the hummingbird nicely. Well done! Link to comment
