I like the photo, because it makes us wonder. Love the landscape! I have one suggestion for you. I think, (in my personal opinion) that the photo works a little bit better, without the sand. Why? Because the most important thing in the composition, is the little girl looking at the open sea. That's what makes us wonder, and why not enhance it? So I uploaded a version, and I hope you can see what I mean.

I think I like it even more, this way, without the waves, because that way she seems to be IN the water, and not in the shore.

Nice capture...I like the story the image tells....young girl facing the vast unknown world...having her turned away really adds impact...but I must admit I'd love to see her face too. Nicely capture...very creative.
