garry_young1 1 Posted August 21, 2008 Fair amount of post processing to get this dramatic sky. Advice/critique welcome. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 21, 2008 Your post processing shows with the'aura' around the building. It is quite distracting. I would be curious to see what the untouched version looks like. It is very difficult to shoot tall buildings. I might have included a little ground to give some idea of perspective. Link to comment
garry_young1 1 Posted August 21, 2008 Thanks for the advice Dave. The reason I had little foreground was due to a 28mm perspective on an APS-C, and walking backward just cluttered things up with trees and other buildings. I was trying to stick to the 28mm prime, but I was also bothered by the lack of foreground too. I should have just changed to my kit lens which goes to 18mm. The post processing was deliberately to create the sky and halo effect in an abstract sense, mainly because of the unusual composition without foreground. I have the untouched file on my computer at home, I will post it here later today. Once again, thanks for stopping by. Link to comment
