I can't thank you enough. Another masterful critique. As you might imagine, I tried to learn form the Montpelier old man photo and put some of that into play. The lighting in this one might have been a bit more difficult. It is much darker where I and the organist are sitting, as you might expect. This is the choir loft, and the main attention is placed on the preacher and all those folks down on the main floor. So, I used your render omni light tool that you told me about to get some light on his face. His silver hair was brighter to start with, and might have been taken up a notch with the render light. I will admit I still have a great deal of trouble using that tool without getting unnatural results. Nevertheless, I think without it, this would have faded into a much lesser image. I definitely see your point about the bright lighting directly to the left of the organists face. I think that could easily be worked on, and probably should be. Thank you for that thought. And thank you as always for sharing your thoughts. You have been a big help to me.

this is another brilliant image of yours (I'm not saying perfect, but brilliant for sure).

I also appreciate that the dude doesn't merge with the background; whatever part of his body I look at, it's clearly separated from the background, yet part of it.

Good job. BTW, if you poured V8 in your swollen ear, it would heal immediately.

Cheers, Micheal

Thanks for the kudos, and for the medical remedy. I guess you would argue that if all the world leaders drank V8, there would be peace.

Wow David... this is a fantastic shot.

I have actually sat in an empty church and played on the piano on occasions. It has a sort of pathos to it when I do it though. (Yes I have been in a church once or twice).

This photo has a feeling of wholeness and oneness. Yet some sort of sadness as well.

For some reason I connect with this one and I really really like it.

Thanks for the thoughts. Yeah, whenever I go into a church I get to wondering if I'm not tempting fate. Doesn't happen often, so I'm not too worried.
