Solitary boat on the Aurlandsfjord, Norway.

Our boat bobbed around peacefully at dawn that day with thefjordside rising majestically out of the water over 10km away. The icybit in the distance you see is Blåskavlen (I think).

This photo reminds me of the relative impermanence of thingsman-made (the boat) when juxtaposed with the timeless majesty ofnature (the distant fjord side). Long after every person alive rightnow is dead and forgotten that glacier will look the same...

I love that there is no one in the boat. It brings forward the understanding that we

are but the blink of an eye. The blue color is so soothing it makes it a peaceful
