cherlyn 1 Posted August 13, 2008 A temple located at the top of a hill in DeQin Area (also know as Shangrila). This was taken from the below of the hill where our inn is. A temple captured in its golden splendout with its golden roof & trimmings. Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted August 14, 2008 Hi Pnina, this was taken during my last Oct trip to China. Maybe next year I'll go to other parts of China. Link to comment
bob_belanger 1 Posted August 15, 2008 I have been to China a few times myself. I have not had an opportunity to sight-see while visiting. But I think there's always the next time... This is a very nice display of old architecture. China today is being taken over by new development and these cultural icons are being swallowed up in the metropolitan areas and surrounded by mortar and brick. Progress, capitolism... vs. culture. Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 28, 2008 Lovely, a storybook image right out of my imagination. Promises of adventure and mystery and far away places. I'm still a kid at heart. Link to comment
