adan1 0 Posted August 6, 2008 A great shot. The background with the yellow flowers really complements the pastel colored sky. This cute shot speaks about childhood curiosity and fun. Upon further reflection, I think this capture in some way represents the difference in perspectives of the sexes. For the most part we all know that men and women view things differently. The opposite position of the bodies hints to that. Link to comment
monica_gonier 0 Posted August 8, 2008 Wonderful capture... You made it work dispite the time of day and harsh lighting... Great job!!!!! Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted August 8, 2008 Thank you Adan, I like your analogy. Monica, Thank you for your comment. A lot of what I liked about the shot was the light. Thanks again! ~j Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted August 9, 2008 I like Adan's interpretation, although it's not what my first thought was. I see them as co-conspirators in what will end up being a trip to the Emergency Room and a good story for subsequent family gatherings. Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted August 9, 2008 Hey Jeff! Happy to report no injuries, other than glass on the beach causing a few minor cuts. And kids NOT wearing their shoes. ~J Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted August 21, 2008 Janis, this one really is well composed, unique, and interesting so whether intentional or not your eye saw and skill captured a great moment. Ready for a gallery and a blue ribbon, I'm certain. Very good. ~Sky Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted September 25, 2008 Maybe because they are dressed for water sports your image has reminded me of times I used to walk across a water pipe over a canal at the tide flats. It was either walking 20 feet across the pipe or 2 miles around to get to the other side. I remember how scared I was doing that pipe. Thanks for the memory. Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted September 25, 2008 Anytime Shawn! I'd take the pipeline too. The coast line is just on the other side of the flowers....the cabin is gone, best we can tell all that is left is parts of the slab. It was front row. This is Crystal Beach, Texas....one of Ike's many stops. Nice to see you, I plan to start posting again .....! ~j Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted September 25, 2008 Sky, I am so sorry for not even acknowleding you. Thank you! I have about 50 of these shots and could post and post but am refraining! Shame it's all gone. Thanks again Sky.~j Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted September 25, 2008 I like this too. Light blue sky against green grass & yellow flowers provides a lovely sweel bg. The 2 child in their swimwear such threading the pole such a pleasure to view. A sunny summer picture that brings lightheartedness to one's heart. Link to comment
Art X Photography 1 Posted January 16, 2009 Sometimes a photo is taken whereby very little more than viewing it needs to be done (as in, very little post production work). Its a sign of a good photographer. I think this image is an example of that. well done Janis Link to comment
