Exploring in the Oregon Cascades

This was taken from an workshop with Marc Adamus and we went exploring for different things. This is one small ice cave that actually was only a few feet tall and I had to crawl in on my hands and knees in water to fit in here but it was fun. It took me almost half an hour laying in glacier water but the exposure was very difficult

An unbelievably fabulous image! The luminescence of the blue ice is mesmerizing. Terrific shot in all respects. What about cloning out the tips of the grass blades on extreme left; or a tiny crop? Super work, Kevin; and I hope you were wearing a wetsuit. Brrr! Cheers! Chris

A thousand "wows" here. This is such a captivating image, very well composed/exposed and, just simply wonderful. My favorite today!

Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely amazing shot! It takes a while until you understand what are you looking at. The contrast of colors between the ice and the grass really pops out! Congratulations,

Well done!

It is a beautiful, interesting image. I really like the light coming through the ice. Nicely done. Dan

Fascinating subject, and the red boulder in the middle was a nice find. I'm pretty sure I know exactly where this was taken, too! Something about the lighting strikes me as off, though, almost as if you'd applied a very severe color correction to the bottom of the scene, in order to filter out the strong blue light that was actually present here. Having any sort of warmth in this scene seems wrong.

Congrats on pulling out this wonderful, unique, ethereal image Kevin. This is just as stunning as I could have imagined it would be.

We'll try to hook up again later this summer!
