clayton_berg 0 Posted August 4, 2008 The most traveled hike in Banff National Park, Johnston Canyon takes you along a gorge with 7 separate cascades. This is the first one. Link to comment
wild_moments 0 Posted August 4, 2008 Awesome exposure, colors, and clarity. I haven't been there yet, but it looks like you probably didn't have a bunch of options for framing. I find the angle of the falls and rocks to be distracting and dizzying, but I am sure it was probably the best you could do. Aesthetically - I wouldn't want to look at the picture for more than a few seconds. Link to comment
jim craig 0 Posted August 4, 2008 Colors are very nice Clayton, and I like all the detail in the rock areas. Having been there, I know how difficult it is to get composition. I might be tempted to crop the top right below where that "V" at the top right forms and where the trees begin. There appears to be lots of texture in the swirls in the pool at the bottom. I wonder if trying to pronounce them more, with some changes in shutter speed perhaps, and some burning in post processing, might bring more interest to the image. An easy re-shoot, now that you live right in the neighborhood. (: regards, jim Link to comment
