sergi_arbos 0 Posted June 14, 2001 Hello, I wanted to take a portrait of this lady, showing her doing her hobby: lacemaking. I tried several approaches, but if I show her face I can't show her work... and viceversa... I even thought of a mirror but... nah! So I would like your opinion about a portrait where the character is blurred and with her back turned. Link to comment
jim_ruddy1 0 Posted June 14, 2001 If you are trying to document how the product looks, is made, the quality, the skill of the creator etc.. then you have done it. If you are trying to document how the person looks, is concentrating etc... then she needs to be in focus. I personally think you got it right. A persons actions tell much more about them then their looks. Link to comment
melanie_trowbridge 0 Posted June 15, 2001 The craft and the way that she is creating the lace is the attention grabber for this photo. I still get the sense of concentration from the tilt of her body. Link to comment
