dave_nitsche 0 Posted August 4, 2008 All the syringe shots are for a one man show I'm have going on in 2009. It will be about 20 images total. Thoughts? Link to comment
ionviorel 0 Posted August 4, 2008 Excellent idea, very well made. Like all of your works. I know about you and your work from a romanian magazine - PhotoMagazine. Congratulations! Link to comment
naturetrek 0 Posted August 4, 2008 If you get a 4/4 for an image like this, then I'm proud of all the 3/3's I've got on my pictures. Link to comment
dave_nitsche 0 Posted August 4, 2008 Thanks Ion... Yeah, I had a ton of fun doing that mag. They were really supportive and helpful with it. Thanks for looking! :-) Diana, yeah, the ratings system here is a bit foolish. I use to care about it but now I don't give it much of a thought. My images aren't a lot of people's cup of tea. Either they like it or don't. Not much middle ground. Thanks for the support and kind words though. It's really appreciated. Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted August 4, 2008 creative and balanced: now I have a headache, thanks for sharing, G. Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted August 5, 2008 Apart from the usual superb studio lighting, only one (immediate) thing came to my mind.Food colouring for thought...This type of interpretational comment is probably as bad as the common misquotation of Hamlet's "Alas! poor Yorick. I knew him well."I trust that you will appreciate my admiration regardless, Dave. Link to comment
dave_nitsche 0 Posted August 5, 2008 Food coloring for thought... That's just excellent!!!! Hope all is well with you and yours. So great to see you commenting here my friend!!! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 8, 2008 Yes Dave. You probably don't need me (or anyone for that matter) to tell you how good this is. You can't improve this but doing it with your own head would make it a touch more..... I would love to know who the bozzo is that gave this a 3/3. Link to comment
dave_nitsche 0 Posted August 8, 2008 Who gave this a 3/3? Well if photo.net is the same as it use to be probably the same 'person' (and I use the word person in a very fictitious sense) that gave this a 7/7. http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=7637799 The more things change, the more they stay the same. ;-) Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted August 9, 2008 Glad to see your new work. Very cool and imaginative, as usual. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 13, 2008 37 of them Dave! Scary! More scary than this image of yours. Link to comment
dave_nitsche 0 Posted August 13, 2008 Yeah, I know David. It's hilarious but that's what you get when you create fake accounts and vote for yourself a bunch of times. :-) Link to comment
mg 0 Posted August 31, 2008 Great one ! :-) A possibility worth considering was perhaps a squared composition that would allow to include the reflection at the bottom - since "reflecting" is, properly, thinking... Ok, just another idea... How about reshooting exactly the same thing but based a little more on the word "storm", this time ? How about continuous lighting and a huge fan very near, which would hopefully shake all the needles and create an interesting motion blur around that poor overworked head...? :-) Cheers.
