mrraz 0 Posted July 31, 2008 This has a very Escher like quality. The composition is excellent giving a visual flow that keeps the eye moving within the frame. You might consider just a bit more contrast. The overall image has the hint of flatness. Very nice work. Link to comment

jokeweier 0 Posted October 14, 2008 Fine photo. The point of view reminds me at M.C. Escher. http://www.mcescher.nl/ With regards Link to comment
dnl 0 Posted March 17, 2009 Well, yes, Escher... But to me it's more a tribute to Henri Cartier-Bresson... Very well done. Link to comment
aron_burday 0 Posted April 4, 2011 I enjoyed seeing this. I wish I understood what gives it that Escher-like quality. There's no ambiguity about the light source and the actual geometry is clear enough. I was going to say that the BW conversion could have been a little lighter, but I think the murkiness toward the top of the frame may be part of what produces the quasi-illusion. Anyhow, it's fun to look at all those rectangles and trapezoids at crazy angles to each other and feel like we're descending into the picture along with the person descending the staircase.
