Hello Raoul,

Let me tell you the difference between a male and a female Scarlet Skimmer. Actually the name denotes the colour of the male, which is bright red or scarlet.

The female is golden yellow.

Ram, this picture has been a visual treat. Every aspect of this picture is perfect. The background bokeh is excellent and the sharpness of the skimmer is superb. I am particularly impressed by the lattice like pattern of the wings (better seen when magnified) which has focused lighting on it, almost a surreal edge to it. The leaf with the beautiful twist, and the lit edges provides an excellent complement to the creature it showcases. This has been your best that I have had the pleasure to see.
