lonebearimages 0 Posted July 30, 2008 This is absolutely gorgeous! Wonderful lighting and beautiful pastel colors and tones. I can't get over how sharp it is too. A really terrific minimalistic photograph. Well done, Lester! Cheers! Chris Link to comment

llgarcia 1 Posted July 30, 2008 Thanks for liking this image. Waited an hour for this at sunrise because of morning haze at first as you can see in the clouds on the right side of the image. The sun became visible so suddenly and I popped few shots before the lighting got harsh. This is a house on Laguna de Bay in the Philippines where fishermen build as their permanent homes for easy access to fishing. Regards! - Lester Link to comment
llgarcia 1 Posted July 30, 2008 Thanks too for your appreciation. I too would like to print this and hang a hard copy. Regards - Lester Link to comment
Leroy_Photography 0 Posted July 30, 2008 Very nice. It's nice to see the soft pastels. The house off-set by the storm clouds is wonderful. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment

llgarcia 1 Posted August 1, 2008 Laura - Thanks, i think the warming filter and remaining haze helped create the soft atmosphere here. Edwin, - Thanks, I appreciate it. Jean-Marc, - Laguna de Bay changes scenes and mood often. The water level at this time is already high being rainy season so there's more water than land and always nice to catch some nice seascapes here. Regards! Amitai, - Thanks for your comment. Mark, - Thanks for your comment on composition. It's the normal rule of thirds but I feel it works here. Simon, - Thanks again for dropping by. This is the best time to shoot dramatic clouds and skies in the Philippines being rainy season. Tremendous cloud formations from rain clouds to stormy clouds and mostly low-level clouds drama the skies all day. Jose, - Regards to you! Cherlyn, - This is a fisherman's dwelling together with his family. Built on stilts to give allowance when water rises to danger levels. Thanks for dropping by. Regards Link to comment
