It reveals the talented eye of a serious photographer, who might have picked up here and there, a tiny hint or two from older photographers who worked the beaches of the West Coast. Yet the technique and rendering of this image is beautiful and darn near perfect. Not absolutely perfect, thank god, because at perfection, one looks once, admires, and then moves on. This image pulls you into it with the rock in front but rewards you with the detail in the shadows, and the textures of the sand and rocks, and the play of light and shadow. Eric, congratulations on a terrific photo, and for all the work you've done to be able to realize an image like this.Jim Link to comment
