all i can think is, why? i've done nothing to deserve the luxuries i take for granted.

I don't know this woman's story but my husband lived in India for awhile. He was blown away at how (for the most part) happy people were. It seems that the more store bought kaka we have in our lives...the more depressed we become. It is no wonder that western culture is plagued with problems like depression and addiction more than anywhere else in the world. Thank you for sharing your travels and stories Birte. You are a visionary.

Thanks Apurva for pointing out they do have electricity.Its still a wretched life, maybe you should try yourself living like this for awhile!

I entirely agree, and thats what my point is too, the dilapidated condition and location of electrical switch board makes it highly unsafe.
