tonmestrom 4 Posted July 22, 2008 going for drama are we? To be honest I find it hard to judge the amount of detail here in this compressed image but knowing your work now for some time I trust it'll be perfect. I'm very partial to a bit of drama myself. Like it, a lot Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted July 24, 2008 I like the tight crowded composition and the drama of the B&W treatment. The vertical framing adds impact by accelerating velocity (of the eye) from bottom to top. Link to comment
Matt Laur 2,201 Posted July 24, 2008 Hey, thanks everyone. Yes, this was a shameless bit of drama-mongering. We've had an usually rich growing season around here this year, and anything that photosynthesizes into plant material has gone crazy. The aggressive density of this wheat field's crop kind of cried out for this approach. My stylistic urges are all over the map this month... must be the heat! Link to comment
hector_andrade 0 Posted January 10, 2009 This picture is amazing Matt. I'm just a rookie but here I'm learning a lot. It seems one doesn't need more expensive ultra wides than the Sigma... Link to comment
cyanatic 0 Posted August 27, 2010 The more I look at this...almost a frightful intensity and energy from the wheat. I think the dark "fingers" could be seen as much as transitional waypoints to the sky as they could be considered "distractions". Besides...they were there. Link to comment
