Coolin' Off

Most parents take tons of pictures of their kids in the pool, myself

included...but for some reason I felt this one just "worked." What do

you think? TIA for critique.

I hope you don't take offense to this because I really don't think it is a negative comment, but it is what it is. A snapshot of your son in the pool. It's cute, it'll look great in the family album, but to an outside viewer that is all it is. On the technical side, it is near impossible, at least for me, to color balance an image shot in a pool, either the skin tones look waaaay off (so cyan) or the water will look way off (red). Anyhow, enjoy your picture, it is a great capture of a day in the pool but I'm an objective viewer will click right by it. Looks like your having a wonderful summer though! Cheers, Catherine

It,s imposible, not to smile! Technicaly, I think, it could be better (compo and colours, personally) but that moment and smile are really familiar... full of love and happyness.

Hey everybody, thanks for the comments. Color came up a few times. I'm not sure what else I would have done differently in post, because those ARE pretty much the real colors from the scene. Or should I be looking at it differently? Thanks again!
