I'm glad that you presernt this in B/W. It really works well this way. The shot has strong composition elements. The only distration to me is the light diagonal line through the dark cloud on the right side, and that is very minor. Regards

Kevin, a very nice composition, feels like a very windy place and day, accentuated by the tree form and weeds, even the sky looks like moving with the wind. Good light and well converted to B/W.

Beautiful B/W where you feel the wind and dream of entering into the moorland. Any straw and even the clouds are playing with the tree. Well done.

Im amazed I haven't seen it before. Really nice portfolio. Your landscapes remind me so much of my own. I don't have very many of them up anymore because of doing weddings for a living now, but I love work.

it's a good photo although I think you present it a bit darker than it actually was given the lighting conditions. Also it's a bit noisy. Having said that I very much like scenes like this and I sure like this one.

It brings to mind a famous and, I think, appropiate quote:

"Trees were so rare in that country, and they had to make such a hard fight to grow, that we used to feel anxious about them, and visit them as if they were persons. It must have been the scarcity of detail in that tawny landscape that made detail so precious"

it's from the 1918 novel "My Antonia" by Willa Cather
