Cropped at bottom. Windy conditions blurred the tree. Couldnt avoid that so i went for max blurring using the smallest apperture, trying to give a feeling of wind that match the sky and clouds.

Should i crop away the stone in the front? I went for this version

because the stone's placement fitted with the trees, now im not so

shure anymore. Comments and ratings appreciated. Thanks!

Don't crop it it is fine as is. If you crop the bottom you would have to crop the sides to keep the same format this would ruin your composition. Also I agree with the last person is the magenta hue a consequence of scanning?

First of all, thanks for your comments. And regarding the magenta color, i checked the slide and what you see here is very close to the original, of course the texture in the sky are as always better when you look at the slide on the lighttable. Regards!

Truely a very special landscape and captured well. The stone doesn't bother me at all. The trees are nicely distributed over the landscape both in width and depth. The only point of doubt to me is the somewhat unreal purple color of the lower clouds. Was this the original color?

Yes Gretel, the color are the same as on the slide, at least on my monitor... but monitors display colors different so there could of course be a variation on what we see.

To me the stone makes a strong focal point to start enjoy this beautiful picture. About the purple colour of the sky far in the background it's amazing the colours that the evening setting sun can render...yesterday both my wife and I were surprised at the deep magenta cast of the clouds and thought that nobody would have believed them to be true (unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me)
