jzq 0 Posted July 2, 2008 I think it's a lovely first attempt. I've been trying to figure out how to get this look myself! Link to comment
ja_rek 0 Posted July 2, 2008 I've just learned it from a step by step tutorial in a magazine. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted July 2, 2008 I'm not usuallly a fan of high key, but this is very well done. I like that you did not make the eyes abnormally dark like many high key images do. The tones are a tad greenish, but it doesn't detract. Overall, it caught my attention as a very pleasant image... and she's a doll too!... Mike Link to comment
ja_rek 0 Posted July 2, 2008 Thanks Michael, but don't qutie understand what you mean speaking of greenish tones. It was all done in grayscale, so there's no color in it. Link to comment
kathyb 67 Posted July 2, 2008 I have Spyder3Pro and that may be why I am able to detect the greenish cast. Otherwise I like it. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted July 2, 2008 Jarek.... You are entirely correct! I made the statement from first impression, and after checking I find the RGB values to be consistently the same throughout the picture. I retract the "greenish" statement, but retain my first impression that the young lady is indeed a doll, and you have a marvelous photo here... Mike Edit: Looking at this on my home monitor, which is calibrated, there is no cast at all. Sorry for the misstatement. Mike Link to comment
