A 1 composition,Jack. Black cat, white Japanese letters and the iron covers ,make this one a symbolic image.

I like the literally black and white juxtaposition, and " framed" Jack. Just a cat and letters, but as always well composed and observed , and timing!

Fantastic. Using the grate as a framing element keeps the cat in its place. And you've snapped at just the right moment. You have such a talent for harvesting synchronicity.

Phenomenal shot. Looks like the cat is deliberately striking a pose while looking right at you. #1 sure has a lot of attitude.

Great shot. The grate does work really well on the two sides, but what I really like is the darkened pavement (wet?) that looks like a phantom monster about to pounce on the wily cat that is diverted by you.

what a look he's returning to you....I really don't know who's spotting who....even at this speed the composition is remarkably controlled with framing partners left and up and the white letters on the pavement...I am not sure the image of you on the cat side is so controlled...I'll never know anyway....

I love the graphic quality to this one and of course, the fact that my favorite, the cat, is starring in it doesn't hurt either! Very well done! I love it! Thank you for sharing. :)

How the hell are you? How are things over at Flikr? Still holding down the fort over there like I am over here? |'ll get over to see your stuff when I have a little time.

This is actually a lovely composition utilizing the varieties of tones to produce a feat for the eyes. On a more practical note, I hope your bad luck on this day was somewhat limited.

I don't think this miniature "panther" gives a shit about what the sign reads; he's going to go where he damn well pleases. Thanks for the comment.
