whydangle 0 Posted June 28, 2008 Thanks Sean. The color versions of these grain shots are some of my favorites, but I never considered the conversion possibilities. When I pulled up the different channels, the image transformed into a greyscale of intense texture and form. The larger view brings out the detail! Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted June 30, 2008 Thanks for any thoughts. The Larger view brings out the detail. Link to comment
RobertChura 0 Posted June 30, 2008 Well, I looked at both versions and I really like the B&W best. The emphasis seems to be on the great textures. The color seems to distract me especially the blue sky. Darkening the sky would really draw the eye to the foreground in this version and really have a dramatic impact.. Link to comment
milena_safrova 0 Posted June 30, 2008 It looks very nice in B/W, exclusively sharp. By the way ... a great title :-) Link to comment
j._bradley_deal 0 Posted June 30, 2008 Excellent. This is much more dramatic and interesting than the color version. Link to comment

whydangle 0 Posted July 1, 2008 Thanks to all who commented. Many of the comments expressed a preference for the b&w version of this. I would have to agree. I actually witnessed these wheat fields being harvested today. It was like saying goodbye to some old friends. Until next year! Link to comment
harrylichtman 0 Posted July 3, 2008 The detail in the large version is exceptional. Amazing what the digital format can capture- you brought it out especially well with the channel conversion. Another sweet shot. Harry Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted July 4, 2008 Thanks Harry. The full res file is full of detail and looks pretty good up to 16X20. Just wondering if you know when Discover 2009 calendar is coming out. I am getting anxious to see all the images. Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted October 5, 2008 Love the title! I'm might use it in the future, hope you don't mind :-) Like Simon says, the tones on the wheat are very good. Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted October 8, 2008 Thanks Aaron for your recent visit. This is probably my favorite b&w image from my portfolio. The title is not copyrighted, so use it if you wish. I will have to get over to your neighborhood soon and see whats new!! Link to comment
