Hi Anton,

Looks like you spend some time on lighting, which is a rare quality in wedding photography. The lighting transforms this from a snapshot to a real portrait. Definitely worth the effort! How much time do you normally spend on something like this?

I've had days like that, too. Sometimes the story behind the photo can be very entertaining. Anyway this is where the right brain work can help. I shoot my flashes manually at the same f stop in situations like this. I have the flash settings worked out so that I know exactly what setting to use based on the distance of the subject to the light. I measure the distance in foot steps. So if my subject is two foot steps from my umbrella at f 4.0 at iso 100 my flash is set to 50 w/s. Once you have the distances figured out for that particular camera setting you can get it done in no time at all. Standardizing the distances in manual mode is the key to speed for me.

Absolutely gorgeous shot! The lighting helps make this a truly stellar photograph. Congratulations despite the bug and plant attacks.

John LaVere, i spend a half hour on post process/ we make a several photos with one flash orientation position (settings). and 1 important moment - power of light is always maximum when we used outdoor flashes, so we can change the brightness only by distance//

sorry about my english - will better i hope)
