neciphoto 0 Posted June 21, 2008 Thanks a lot everyone, Carole I feel honoured you have marked me as interesting I had a look through your photo's and I will also keep an eye on your wonderfull photo's. This is a wild bird as are all my photo's. There are quite a lot of them now around Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire where I took these shots. Thanks to a program of reintroduction by the RSPB and supported by the Scottish Natural Heritage. Back in 1989 Kites were removed as nestlings from parts of Europe particularly Spain, Sweden and eastern Germany. A few chicks were translocated from Welsh nests too. The young nestlings were then nurtured and acclimatized in specially constructed pens before being released into the British countryside. This long term project has been immensely successful. While I was taking my recent shots there must have been a dozen or more of them in the air at one point. I bet you must be very happy with the abundance of wildlife to photograph in S. Africa. Thanks again. My best regards Necip Link to comment

jcvpictures 0 Posted June 21, 2008 There is nothing more to be said, this is a great image in all ways, the only thing is that I find it a bit tight for my taste, but the details and eye contact make up for that. Great Job. I wanted to rate this one 7/7 but you know this system here... 7/7 anyways! jc Link to comment
