serdelosreyes 0 Posted June 14, 2008 Very Good perspective; nice image. I think that also a good try is to eliminate the umbrela...Just thinkinh....:) Link to comment
geertje 0 Posted June 15, 2008 Title, perspective, tones, composition... they all work together making this a GREAT photo. Well seen, Well captured! And for me the umbrella works. Link to comment
fhick 0 Posted June 16, 2008 R.Sekkar, Henri, Nataly, Mary, many thanks for your kind words. Sergio, thanks for your comment. For me I believe that the umbrella gives a better balance to the shot. Another approach... Thanks for your remark Milena, Amitai, thanks to take your time to look. Geertje, I totally agree with your advice about the umbrella, it has his place... Fernand Link to comment
jefvandenhoute 0 Posted June 16, 2008 Fernand Very strong graphic image. The play of the light is amazing. For me also the umbrella at the left is needed and closes the image at that side PS: Bedankt voor je recente commentaar op 'Triangles'. Het beeld heeft een werkelijk absurd parcours in OE afgelegd. Bij een eerste posting terug met als commentaar: "a lot of potential. Please fix the artefact in the sky, the ONLY reason it was rejected ". Was inderdaad zo en heb dat dan ook gedaan. Bij hernieuwd aanbieden werd het vrij snel afgewezen omdat 'does not stand out enough'. Dus het tegenovergestelde van het eerste. Een bewijs dat de screening in OE allesbehalve logisch is.... je ne regrette rien 67 Posted June 18, 2008 Very interesting patterns. I would have tried also without the reader. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted June 21, 2008 Interesting capture and nice graphic B&W treatment to loose the background and accentuate the rail and shadows. At its current aspect ratio the umbrella is needed to balance the length. At another aspect ratio, for example 1 to 1, both the wall and the umbrella could be cropped out and you would still have a very strong image. Link to comment
fhick 0 Posted June 23, 2008 Jef and Tommie, many thanks for your comments. Luca, for me the reader is an important part of this shot. Gordon, I agree with your suggestion, thanks. Link to comment
