This is actually my homework, I know its a little late but I

accidently broke my two year olds arm last weekend so I couldn't get

it done.

Any how I asked this guy if I could shoot him and he was ok with it +

I got my D100 on friday and was testing it out.

Cheers

Mark

Ow. Hope the kid is on the mend. Nothing stiff about this one, Mark: you can hardly tell it was taken in a studio. Nice job.

Sweet action scene. Kinda grainy, though. Is that a function of the D100 shot fast? Also, was the shot that close or did you crop it dramatically?

maybe this wd work better if it wasn't so tightly cropped. or be more interesting. forgive me, what is the guy in??? where is his right hand.... how far away were you?

abt yr kid. maybe you shld take portraits of that process. the doctors, the cast, the friends...do friends sign casts anymore....though 2yr olds can't write. oh well.....there's lots to photograph there.

It's quite a bit dark--probably a typical bright outdoor "18% grey" underexposure. I would think that, regardless of monitor, the whitewater should be white--as white as the background of this page. And yes, unless it was a commissioned portrait, it is too tightly cropped. These are just post-processing technicalities, though. The photographer's skill is evident. Good work.
